This commitment to excellence is reflected throughout the 280,000 square foot state-of- the-art manufacturing and office facility where 98% of product offerings are manufactured. Operations and office functions are under one roof, ensuring the utmost control over product quality and cost containment. AO uses a variety of innovative technologies in its manufacturing process including powdered metal injection molding, sintering, automated machining, CNC Swiss screw machining, 3D printing, laser welding and marking and diamond wet grinding. All of these manufacturing processes are tightly controlled to comply with medical device regulations in all areas and regions of the world. By building its own team of automation engineers that design the company’s machinery and continued investment in manufacturing technologies, AO has built a factory unlike any other in the orthodontic industry.
AO is also committed to education and is a leader in supporting the continuation of the orthodontic specialty. AO is proud to be the only Diamond Corporate Partner of the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF), which entails a $1 million donation. The AAOF supports education and research with grants, gifts and awards, and also supports junior faculty to ensure Universities have high level and dedicated faculty to ensure the next generation of orthodontists are properly trained.
