MicroMega K-Files, MicroMega K-Reamers, MicroMega H-Files: Sterile stainless steel hand files

MicroMega H-Files, K-Files and K-Reamers are the most common hand files used for the root canal debridement. All /.02 tapered, packed in sterile blisters of 6, they exist in various tip diameters starting from n°06 up to n°140.

MicroMega K-Files

K-Files give a first “tactile” indication about anatomy, level of mineralization and curvature. They help evaluate how the treatment will be difficult to select the most suitable instruments sequence for shaping, while removing the primary mechanical constraints.

During this first exploration, K-files let determine the working length, with or without the use of an electronic apex locator.

Using K-files to recapitulate after each mechanized action made with a NiTi file favours the right glide path to be followed, prevents file separation, carefully explores the apical third and ensures its patency.

K-files may be of interest to bypass a separated NiTi file in the root canal.

MicroMega H-Files

Through their steeper-angled cutting edges, H-Files are best suited for vertical dentin cutting. They enlarge the root canal and remove debris from the apex to the coronal part with high efficiency, especially in case of irregular canals walls. Last indication relates to the extraction of separated instruments.

MicroMega K-reamers

Originally used to find the canals entrances, they are now mainly used at the end of the root canal preparation as a finisher, to eliminate residual mineral and organic tissues or to place the sealer.

  • Industrially cleaned and pre-sterilized instruments: ready to use, compliant with the prevailing infection control recommendations strengthened by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Multiple-use : depending on the size and the visual aspect after use, a hand file may be reused 2 or 5 times, an autoclave cycle at 134°C to be done after each use
  • Ergonomics of the handle: good file grip to help dentists easily and efficiently negotiate calcified and curved canals
  • Clear identification: permanent number and cross-section markings, ISO color-coded handle plus a specific mark to exactly spot where the file has been pre-curved
  • Radiopaque silicone stop: perfect adjustment to the Working Length
  • High quality manufacturing and control processes: in-house and state of the art automated machines, historical MicroMega expertise in terms of grinding operations
